6 Month Stay called Visitor Visa

Visitor Visa, also known as a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), allows visitors to stay in Canada for up to six months at a time. This visa is suitable for tourists, family visitors, business visitors, and anyone looking to spend an extended period in Canada for non-work-related activities.

Key Features of the Six-Month Visitor Visa

  • Duration: Allows you to stay in Canada for up to six months per visit.

  • Flexibility: Available as both single-entry and multiple-entry visas.

  • Renewable: You can apply to extend your stay if you wish to remain in Canada beyond six months.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a six-month visitor visa, you need to meet several criteria:

  • Valid Passport: Your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay.

  • Good Health: You may need to undergo a medical examination.

  • No Criminal Record: You must not have any criminal or immigration-related convictions.

  • Proof of Financial Support: Show that you have enough funds to cover your stay.

Application Process

Here’s a step-by-step guide to applying for a six-month visitor visa:

  1. Go to IRCC website to login within your account. If you don’t have an account please create one. Save your login info somewhere as you will need it in future.

  2. Have Proof of financial support documents beforehand, it includes 

    -Chartered accountant property report to prove parents have assets back home so that they will return back.

    -Stocks/Bonds/ETFs portfolio, if any.

    -Parents Job Proof if any (If retired, proof of retirement certificates from job and government).

    -Bank statements for past 6 months.

  1. Travel itinerary

  2. Invitation letter (if visiting family or friends)

  3. Complete the Application Form: Fill out the form (IMM 5257) accurately.

  4. Pay the Application Fee: The fee is CAD $100, plus CAD $85 for biometrics if required.

  5. Submit Your Application: Apply online for faster processing, or submit a paper application at a Visa Application Centre (VAC).

  6. Biometrics and Interview: Provide biometrics and attend an interview if requested.

  7. Wait for Processing: Check processing times on the IRCC website. Processing can take a few weeks.

  8. Receive Your Visa: If approved, your visa will be stamped in your passport. If denied, you'll receive an explanation.

Tips for a Successful Application

  1. Complete and Accurate Documentation: Ensure all your documents are complete and accurate to avoid delays.

5 Year Stay called Super Visa

Super Visa is a fantastic opportunity for parents and grandparents to stay in Canada for extended periods. This visa allows eligible individuals to stay in Canada for up to five years at a time without the need to renew their status. Here's everything you need to know about the Super Visa. The Super Visa is a long-term, multiple-entry visa specifically designed for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents. This visa allows them to stay in Canada for up to five years per visit and is valid for up to 10 years.

Key Features of the Super Visa

  • Extended Stay: Allows for stays of up to five years at a time without needing to renew the visa status plus you can extend for 2 more years without exiting the country.

  • Multiple Entries: Valid for up to 10 years, allowing multiple entries to Canada during this period.

  • Family Reunification: Helps families stay connected by allowing extended visits.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a Super Visa, applicants must meet several criteria:

  • Relation: Be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

  • Invitation: Have a written invitation from your child or grandchild in Canada.
